Why Prepare?

Why be prepared? Prepared for what?

According to FEMA, "Being prepared can reduce fear, anxiety, and losses that accompany disasters...and sometimes avoid the danger completely." Preparing yourself and your family with at least 72 hours of necessities and an emergency plan will reduce anxiety and panic should you find yourself in a disaster situation. Many emergencies don't allow time for people to assemble even the most basic items, which is why preparedness planning is so important. In addition to first aid and emergency kits, our site offers emergency essentials and supplies for virtually any disaster.

Why prepare now?

You may have noticed the price of food has been going up over the past few years. There are several reasons for this:

  • As oil and gas get more expensive, the cost for distribution naturally must increase
  • Erradic climate, draughts and increased storms are wiping out crops all over the world
  • Countries like India and China have a greater demand for food than ever before
  • More crops are being used to produce fuel and not being used as food
  • The dollar is being devalued
  • Taxes are going up
  • Jobs are being lost
  • INFLATION!

...I think this is enough reason to be prepared for surprises.
